MELBOURNE — As the second week of the first major of the season continues, eight men look to move within one win of the Australian Open final.

MONDAY JANUARY 20

(2) Alexander Zverev vs. (12) Tommy Paul (10 p.m.)

A hard-hitting matchup between Zverev and Paul is set for the first day of the quarterfinals. Zverev, a two-time Aussie Open semi-finalist, has dropped just one set so far, while Paul is trying to reach the last four in Melbourne for the second time.

(3) Carlos Alcaraz vs. (7) Novak Djokovic (4:10)

Certainly the marquee match in the quarter-finals as Alcaraz and Djokovic meet in yet another major, this time before the final. The Spaniard has defeated the 24-time Grand Slam champion in each of the last two Wimbledon finals, although this will be the first ever hard court major

TUESDAY JANUARY 21

(1) Jannik Sinner vs. (8) Alex de Minaur

Sinner is giving many a reason to believe he has what it takes to win a second consecutive Australian Open title. Although he has dropped a few sets so far, the Italian is playing very well in the first major of the year.

de Minaur has dropped just one set so far in Melbourne, paving the way to advance to the quarters for a fourth straight Grand Slam. However, the Aussie has never reached a major semi-final.

(21) Ben Shelton vs. Lorenzo Sonego

Shelton has had to grind through the last three matches, going four sets each time, to reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne for the second time in his career. He faces Sonego, the only unranked player left, who is heading to his first major quarter-final.
