Soap star Francisco San Martin has been found dead at his home in LA at the age of 39.

The actor was best known for his role as Dario Hernandez on TV show Days Of Our Lives, and tributes from co-stars have started pouring in.

Camila Banus, who played Dario’s sister Gabi, shared her sad words.

She wrote online: ‘Pepe what can I say but I love you and rest in peace my friend.

‘Love you very very much. I wish I had told you more.’

LA TV journalist Michael Fairman said: ‘Very, very sad. I’m a bit in shock as I saw Francisco in my gym most every day.’

According to US outlets including DeadlineFrancisco’s body was found by police on Thursday, January 16, with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office saying the actor took his own life.

The star spent six months on Days Of Our Lives in 2011, with her alter-ego sent to investigate a cold case.

He eventually moved away after a job promotion, ending the character.

Francisco then went on to have a brief stint on fellow soap The Bold and the Beautiful in 2017.

Francisco was born in Mallorca but moved to Montana as a child. He worked as a model, and after training at acting school, he landed theater roles before getting his TV break.
