Adam Radwan joins Leicester Tigers

Newcastle Falcons can confirm that winger Adam Radwan is leaving the club with immediate effect to join Leicester Tigers.

The 27-year-old scored 59 tries in his 128 games for the Falcons and leaves with the club’s thanks and best wishes.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: “Adam is a fantastic lad who has been nothing but professional during my year working with him and I know everyone at Kingston Park will join me in wishing him all the best the best for his move.

“I understand that our supporters will be disappointed to lose a player of his ability and of course we share those feelings.

“Adam is an ambitious player who came to us and expressed his desire to take this opportunity with Leicester. There is absolutely no animosity between Adam and ourselves and he will always be welcomed back here as a player who has done this club a huge service.

“We will continue to work hard to make Newcastle Falcons a highly competitive force in the Gallagher Premier League and I am confident that there is a bright future for professional rugby here in the North East.”

Radwan went out of his way to thank Newcastle Falcons and their supporters as he headed down to the East Midlands, saying: “I have loved my time at the club and have nothing but positive memories.

“The supporters and everyone at Kingston Park have always been good to me and I can’t express how much that has meant. I will always have great love for the Newcastle Falcons and I hope they continue to enjoy the success they have deserve.”
