See the wild photos as the winter storm hits the Florida Panhandle

Several parts of Florida are experiencing snow as a winter storm sweeps across the Gulf Coast.

Monday 20 January at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency ahead of dangerously cold wind chills and prolonged frost and sub-zero temperatures.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter storm warning for Panhandle Florida, including Northeast and North Florida, until Wednesday, January 22.

According to Tallahassee Democratthe western Panhandle is expected to receive 3 to 4 inches of snow, while the eastern Panhandle is expected to receive 2 to 3 inches.

Pensacola recorded 5 inches of snow since it began falling early Tuesday, higher than the 4-inch record set on March 6, 1954, near Milton, per The weather channel.
