Houston weather: When will the snow start to melt?

HOUSTON – The snow day in Houston is still continuing and we don’t expect it to melt anytime Tuesday.

FOX 26 meteorologists Mike Iscovitz and John Dawson take a look at conditions in the region after snowfall overnight into Tuesday morning. The cold is not over yet! How it might affect the Houston area.

Weather timeline:

With temperatures staying in the 30s on Tuesday, we can expect the snow and ice to stick around.

Although some melting may occur, Tuesday night is expected to drop into the upper 10s and 20s, creating a hard freeze in the Greater Houston area.

Wednesday afternoon we will see it warm up a bit into the 40s. Only then will we start to see some begin to melt.

Is it going to snow on Wednesday?

It is not expected to snow tomorrow.
