The Trump administration is ordering all DEI program workers to have paid leave

The Trump administration is ordering federal employees in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs to have paid leave by Wednesday evening, This is reported by NBC.

A new memo from the Office of Personnel Management also requests federal agencies submit plans to lay off all DEI program employees by Jan. 31. Websites and social media accounts for DEI programs must be closed.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said it was a “promise kept” and “another victory for Americans of all races, religions and faiths.”

She added, “President Trump campaigned to end the scourge of DEI from our federal government and return America to a merit-based society.”

Trump threatens China with 10% tariffs on fentanyl claims

Donald Trump has threatened to ignite a trade war with China after hinting that he intends to impose a 10% tariff on goods imported into the US from the country over the fentanyl issue.

Trump said “We’re talking about a 10 percent tariff on China based on the fact that they’re sending fentanyl to Mexico and Canada.”

In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said on Wednesday that “we always believe that there is no winner in a tariff or trade war” and that her country will protect its interests.

During his campaign, Trump suggested that he would seek 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada.
