Watch: Austin Reaves’ flashy alley-oop pass to LeBron James for dunk

After being humiliated by the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday by a final score of 116-102, Los Angeles Lakers seemed to be getting back on track towards Washington Wizards on Tuesday. The Wizards have the NBA’s worst record at 6-35, but they were competitive at times in the first half.

Midway through the second quarter, the Lakers began to pull away, and one play in particular may have helped them. After Max Christie missed a 3-pointer, Austin Reaves dug up an offensive rebound in the paint and saw LeBron James cut to the hoop. Reaves backed up a bit and threw a spectacular alley-oop pass to James, who then dunked into Jonas Valanciunas’ face while being pursued.

Los Angeles took a solid 59-49 lead at halftime behind 14 points from James and 19 from Anthony Davis. Although Reaves went just 2-of-7 from the field in the first half, he contributed five assists against just one turnover in the first half.
