5 Hollyoaks spoilers for this week – January 20 to 22

Next week hollyoaks, Prince worries about Dilly, Mercedes collapses and Grace makes a shocking return to a past life.

Here’s everything that’s in store Hollyoaks from Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 January.

1) Jez’s murderous side arrives with a vengeance!

There is a new killer in Hollyoaks village and his name is Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield).

Father to Sienna (Anna Passey) and Dodger (Danny Mac), it’s been clear for months now that something wasn’t quite right about Jez.

With his mother Martha (Sherrie Hewson) battling dementia, Jez emerged as the lovable green thumb who wished for love, peace and harmony.

This week, things took a shocking turn when Dilly (Emma Johnsey-Smith) learned the truth about Ethan’s (Matthew James-Bailey) murder – that Sienna had pushed him off the roof of their reception venue during an argument. When she told Jez that she knew what his daughter had done, a switch flipped.

Holding an apron, Jez talked about his past, hinting that he had killed before. Moving toward Dilly, apron spring taut, he strangled her to death.

He later hired Sienna to help bury his cousin and burn her clothes.

During this, Martha arrived and handed over Dilly’s purse, which had fallen out of the basket in which Jez had placed her body.

Jez later revealed that he had murdered before and showed Sienna a picture of another victim, explaining that he killed them because they crashed into Martha’s car and blamed her for it. But with Sienna gone, Jez looked through a book he had with his murder victims in it.

Next week, Sienna thinks it’s the right time to track down Dodger, but a reluctant Jez puts things into perspective – she’s been frantic about Dilly, and now might not be the right time to track down another family member.

Elsewhere, Jez is concerned that Martha’s condition is worsening, but when he brings up the subject, she tries to brush him off…

2) Zoe is heartbroken

The past few weeks have not been good for Zoe (Garcia Brown). Ever since the Blakes moved in with the McQueens, albeit temporarily, there have been problems. Especially considering Prince (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) found himself back in bed with his ex Dilly.

Next week, after realizing there was no future with Prince, Zoe finds herself with the post-break-up blues. She’s comforted when Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) realizes how low she is and decides she’s going to pick me up.

Maxine makes a phone call and arranges for John Paul (James Sutton) to meet the couple for drinks.

Despite being with her friends, Dilly’s disappearance is looming as Zoe realizes how much it has affected Prince. He admits that he and Dilly have always loved each other, leaving Zoe devastated to hear the truth…

3) Prince and Sienna?

The hunt for Dilly heats up and concern for her welfare grows when Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart) is unable to contact her.

Together with Prince, with whom Dilly had had an affair, the pair promise to track her down.

Soon enough, Prince manages to track down Sienna and Jez and warns that something is seriously wrong.

He doubles down on his concern, adding that until he finds out the truth, he won’t stop trying to track down Dilly.

Worry grows in Sienna, who worries that Prince looking for Dilly could end badly. It could apparently see Sienna and Prince lock lips…

4) Will Mercedes survive?

As if Prince couldn’t deal with the disappearance of his lover and the breakdown of his engagement, he has been dealt another blow this week.

Returning home, pained by the lack of knowledge surrounding Dilly’s whereabouts, Prince becomes concerned when McQueen’s house is eerily quiet.

He’s then thrown a curveball when he discovers that Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) has collapsed and is unconscious.

Mercedes is rushed to the hospital and while there they find out she has an infection. Not only that, the next 24 hours will be critical.

Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) wants Mercedes not to worry, but it doesn’t take much for the hot-headed businesswoman to see through her mother’s lies.

Desperate to carry on as she has always done – on her own terms – Mercedes begs her family to take her home.

With another McQueen in the hospital, John Paul rushes to Mercedes’ side, but his arrival throws Cleo (Nadine Mulkerrin), who panics, thinking he’s come to discharge her.

It is her dear friend Peri (Ruby O’Donnell) who is forced to break the news of Mercedes’ condition to the McQueen cousin.

Respecting his sisters’ wishes, John Paul arranges for her to be taken home, and although Myra disagrees, he also finds a way to get Cleo to join Mercedes’ night shift at home.

As the clock ticks, the question hangs in the air as to whether Mercedes McQueen will make it through.

5) Back to black

It’s been a long transformation for Grace Black (Tamara Wall), who turned her life around, desperate to get out of the shadow of her gangster father Fraser (Jesse Birdsall) and evil sister Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix), but next week , which appears to be a resurgence.

The past few months have been hell, and on top of it all, she’s recovering from a gunshot wound, the result of a hit she ordered on herself to force her husband Freddie (Charlie Clapham) to return to her after he began an affair with Mercedes.

Next week, Grace finds herself loathing her brother Rex (Jonny Labey), the man who shot her, when she finds out he paid Jacob (Ethaniel Davy) to get rid of the gun he used, but he still have it.

Needing Grace’s help, he begs his sister to help him, but she refuses. Rex is vengeful and says he only turned to crime because of the way Grace treated him after Lexi’s (Marnie Fletcher) accident.

As everything builds, Grace shocks Rex, Freddie and Robbie (Charlie Wernham) when she arrives dressed as her former criminal self.

When she gets a moment alone with Rex, she explains that plans have changed – she’s returning to her former gangster self and taking over the operation that Rex has been working on…
