Suns-Nets live updates: Phoenix ends 5-game road trip in Brooklyn

The Phoenix Suns (21-21) plays at Brooklyn Nets (2-30) Wednesday, broadcast in the valley on Arizona’s Family (ch. 3) at 5:30 p.m

This is the finale of the Suns’ five-game road trip, and the second of their home-and-away series against the Nets. Brooklyn won the first matchup in Phoenix, 127-117, on Nov. 27.

Led by Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, the Western Conference’s 10th-place Suns are coming off a 118-92 loss at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. The rebuilding Nets, 12th in the East, have dropped their last four.

Suns’ Beal questionable, Nets without top players

Bradley Beal is questionable with a left ankle sprain suffered in Phoenix’s 122-117 loss at Atlanta on Jan. 14. He played in the Suns’ most recent loss at the Cavs. Jusuf Nurkic (returning to rehab from the flu) is out and missing his sixth straight game and the Suns’ entire East road swing.

Brooklyn is severely shorthanded and missing their two top scorers. Cam Thomas (hamstring) is out and former Suns starter Cam Johnson (ankle) is questionable. The Nets are also likely to be without their assists leader Ben Simmons (illness), listed as questionable. D’Angelo Russell (rest), Ziaire Williams (ankle), Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) and Trenton Watford (hamstring) are out.
