Julia Fox wears skater-inspired outfit complete with skate boots

Julia Fox is the (ice) queen out.

The 34-year-old model-turned-actress (who is known for her oversized ensembles) arrived — or, perhaps more accurately, slipped into — her latest late-night show appearance in a head-turning ensemble fit for a figure skater.

While promoting her film Presence on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, Jan. 21, Fox looked ready to hit the ice in a halter top, hot pants, fuzzy coat and — the star of the show — a pair of skating-inspired heels.

In true skater fashion Down the drain the writer paired her short shorts and pale blue necktie with semi-transparent tights. To keep warm – and add to the wintry effect – she also teamed the base with an off-white fur jacket, which she wore elegantly draped around her shoulders.

Her skates – we mean heels – rounded off the sporty chic look. The Dsquared2 boot-heel-skate hybrid is a more than decade-old design from the Italian fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

Further conjuring ice queen was the model’s makeup, which gave her the appearance of being slightly frostbitten. For the unique glam, Fox wore a thin brow, which popped up against an ultra-light eye look that covered her entire brow bone and added another touch of winter with a light, glossy lip.

As for her hair Uncut gems The actress rocked her new cropped cut in a sleek yet tousled style, with her bleach blonde locks falling in a perfectly imperfect way – almost as if she’s just come back from tearing up the ice.

Fox first debuted her new quasi-pixie at the January 16 New York premiere of her newly released horror film Presence. The haircut, which she cut herself, was inspired by none other than Jim Carrey, and specifically his famous alter ego, she revealed to Page six on the red carpet.

“I went for Ace Ventura, like a sleazy guy,” she told the magazine, “I don’t know, I’m just into it right now.”

The big chop was “the furthest along,” Fox explained. “I have wanted to do it for a long time. And you know, sometimes in life you just have to take the plunge and do it. It will grow back, it’s just hair.”

In April, the (often daringly dressed) actress discussed some of her favorite fashion moments, one of which was her wedding-inspired outfit at a 2024 Thom Browne event at Sotheby’s.

The headline-making look featured a sheer white ruffled blusher, a dress with a large cut-out at the front that exposed her stomach and upper thighs, and a black string thong. For a final touch, Fox teamed the look with white lace gloves and a small handbag.

“I was like, ‘Great, I’m going to put the veil on and it’s going to cover my chest,'” she told PEOPLE of the bridal-inspired ensemble. “I happened to have little gloves and the bag, and the bag said, ‘Till death do us part ‘. ”

“Looking at the picture, I wish maybe I would have made sure the strap wasn’t twisted,” she added, “but it’s okay.”
