LIVE ROAD CONDITIONS: Police deal with crashes across Metro Detroit as snow falls

Police in Metro Detroit have been busy Thursday morning as snow falls, covering roads and leading to crashes.

From 6:15 a.m. The Michigan Department of Transportation reports half a dozen incidents on highways, including I-75 and I-96.

The snow will eventually taper off after falling ½ to 1 ½ inches overnight and into Thursday.

SB I-75 closed at Southfield

A crash that was reported at 5:26 a.m., closed all lanes of southbound I-75 at Southfield in Wayne County. The Southfield ramps to the freeway are also closed.

The police are also dealing with other accidents in the same area, but they have not closed the entire motorway.

SB US-23 closed after M-59

All lanes of southbound US-23 have been closed after M-59 since a crash was reported at 05.54
