NFL icon’s ex-fiance opens up about their ugly public split after being accused of a ‘PR stunt’ affair

Legendary NFL wide receiver Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson’s ex-fiancée, Sharelle Rosado, has lifted the lid on her spilled from the football icon.

Rosado and Johnson’s breakup happened last October, with the ‘Selling Tampa’ star revealing the spill to the world in a now-deleted post on X.

Despite heartbreak over ending her four-year relationship with Johnson, she has also stood by him publicly after being accused of being in a ‘PR stunt’ relationship.

Johnson and Rosado star in the new Netflix series ‘WAGs to Riches’ alongside fellow cast member Lastonia Leviston, mother of rapper Rick Ross’ first child, who lives up to the public-relations claim in the first episode.

“If it was just PR, we wouldn’t have a kid together, I mean, make sense,” Rosado told New York Post. ‘I think some people just speculate and assume, or you know, wish their situation was different and wish they had their situation the same as ours at times.’

‘But people are going to speculate. In the end, we know what we have, we know what we have created. If we are together or not, we support each other’.

Rosado and Johnson’s public breakup happened last October after four years of dating

Rosado has since come to the defense of Johnson publicly, denying their romance was for ‘PR’

Johnson and Rosado’s daughter, Serenity, is 2 years old.

Rosado revealed earlier this month that she ended things with Johnson after going through his phone and finding text messages from other women.

Still, the two have remained intertwined despite their breakup. Rosado will host a podcast through the Shay Shay media network, the organization run by Shannon Sharpe, who hosts ‘Nightcap’ with Johnson.

Johnson’s oldest daughter, 26-year-old Jicyra Johnson, also works for Allure Realty, which Rosaso owns, in Miami.

‘I think at the end of the day we both respect each other’s role and we’re still family whether we get married or not. We have a child together… I still consider his children mine, Rosado said.

‘If they call me or need something, I’m there and vice versa. So we must respect each other. We will always support each other (in) business and family first.’

Rosado has no plans to get back together with Johnson despite the fact that they remain in each other’s lives.

‘Right now I’m focusing on myself and he’s very busy. I think we’re at a point in our time where it’s like there’s a lot of work coming in and we honestly don’t have time to focus on it right now,’ Rosado added to The Post.’ So when the time comes, if it comes, I guess I can answer that question.’

Johnson and Rosado began dating in 2020 and became engaged in 2023.
