‘SEVERANCE’ Season 2 -Premiere – Helly and Miss Huang theories, explained

Season 2 -Premier on Resignation Have already inspired a river of fan theories as viewers speculate in the identity of the young Miss Huang and whether Helly is an “outie” in disguise or not.

What happened in the Season 2 premiere of ‘Order’?

After drawing a magnificent scheme to escape into the real world outside Lumon, Mark (Adam Scott) finds himself back in the office, but surrounded by new colleagues.

Recently promoted Mr Milchick (Tramell Tillman) claims that 5 months have passed since the drama caused by Mark and his friends, but that the new “Innies” will experience a friendlier, softer lumon.

Bizarrely sees their new vice chief Miss Huang (Sarah Bock) to be a child, right away, triggering questions about her identity and whether she is cut off or not.

Mark Mark quickly rebelled against the strange new order and manages to distract his new colleagues long enough to flee to Milchick’s office and contact the mysterious board and ask to see his old friends again.

Milchick seems to be a fire mark after this incident, essentially the death penalty for innies, but something is happening in the office that results in Mark returning with his beloved colleagues, Dylan (Zach Cherry), Irving (John Turturro) and Helly (Britt Lower).

The four are made to see a company’s propaganda video (expressed by Keanu Reeves), depicting their Season 1 rebellion in a positive light, a protest that improved the company for the better.

The video is thinking about the claims made in Mark Fisher’s Capitalist realismWhere Fisher suggested that capitalism has the creepy ability to teach all criticisms in themselves. Therefore, Lumon has broken their groundbreaking rebellion as a complaint that has been repaired by new office perks, such as the wide range of snacks.

However, the charming claymation animation seems uncharacteristic from a soul -free company like Lumon – shouldn’t they use generative AI?

Milchick informs the four that the office is a better place now and that many of the microphones and cameras have been removed for privacy. On top of that, Milchick lifts to allow them to leave if they choose it.

They have the end of the day to decide, but given that leaving the office results in “Innie Death”, it’s not much of a choice.

The group exchanges stories about their “outie” experiences in the real world where Mark reveals that his outie’s dead wife, Gemma, has an Innie, Mrs. Casey (Dichen Lachman) the previous wellness director of Lumon, who has since disappeared.

Helly chooses to lie and claim she woke up in a dull apartment and told “Night Gardener” about Lumon’s hidden horrors. In fact, Helly found out that her outie is Helena Eagan, daughter of Lumon Industries CEO JAME EAGAN, and gave a speech that warned the public about what is really going on in the severance program.

Irving will not reveal that he discovered his lost love, Burt (Christopher Walken), has returned to being an outie and is happily married.

Irving has seen that there is nothing to live for out there and just want to leave the office and disappear. However, Dylan convinces him that this is not what Burt wants.

Meanwhile, Mark wants to find out what happened to Mrs. Casey and his perhaps dead wife; Helly seems uncomfortable with the idea, but promises to help him.

Therefore, the four are reunited and their seemingly meaningless work has resumed, but several mysteries are brewing under the slim, minimalist surface of lumon.

Fans have theories of ‘Severance’ Season 2 -Premiere

Resignation Fans are used to speculating on the mystery of the show, and immediately after Season 2 premiere, commentators were suspicious of the timeline.

However, Helly triggered the true identity the most speculation.

Is Helly Really Helena?

On RedditMany fans believe that Helly has been replaced by her outie, Helena, with reference to her strange behavior as evidence that Helena was trying to fool the others to trust her.

Fans figured that Helly’s big lie, her discomfort with Mark’s plan and fumble to turn on her computer were all subtle signs that she wasn’t really Helly.

It may be the case that Helly has been replaced by Helena, but her behavior could also be explained by the shame and disorientation she feels after discovering she is an eagan.

During his conversation with Mark, Helly emphasizes that Innies and Outies are completely separate people who could be interpreted as an attempt to distance themselves from Helena.

Helly’s discomfort with Mark’s plan to save his outie’s wife could easily be chalk up to jealousy as she revealed her romantic feelings to Mark at the end of Season 1.

However, her fumbling to turn on her computer can be a clue that she is hiding something. Or maybe she just took a moment to find contact and fans read too much in it.

Who is Miss Huang?

Miss Huang’s identity was another mystery that triggered speculation, with some viewers under the impression that the child is a young clone of Mrs. Casey.

The mysterious room full of baby goats that marked and Helly discovered in the first season has never been explained, and some expect the animals to be proof of lumon’s experiments with cloning, with the goal of cloning people and creating more workers.

Others speculated that Miss Huang could be the child of Gemma and Mark, but the timing does not seem to match.

Finally, some fans pointed out that Miss Huang mentioned that she previously worked as a crossing guard before she joined the company. This triggered speculation That Huang may be dead in a car accident before he was revived by Lumon.

After all, Gemma died in a car accident and was apparently revived as Mrs. Casey, so it is possible that Lumon has the ability to bring fresh bodies back to life as cut off workers.

Fans seem sure that the Severance program is only the beginning and that there are more unethical, anti-worker technologies in Lumon, but it is left to see what they may be.
