Mark Pope says Kentucky Wildcats’ injury situation is in recovery

Kentucky wildcats get a little extra rest this thanks to a week’s free between the matches vs. Alabama and at Vanderbilt.

Among the players who have been fighting injuries are Lamont Butler, Koby Brea, Andrew Carr and Kerr Kriisa. While Kriisa is not expected to return from her injury to the closest, Butler, Brea and Carr have been able to solve their problems while performing on the SEC injury report at different times in the SEC game.

On Thursday, British head coach Mark Pope met with the media to preview Saturday’s match in Nashville while updating his team’s health status.

“It’s better than it was a few days ago,” said Pope. “That’s for sure. Everyone in the league is going to deal with the same, and so are we. To play hurt and play with injured guys.

“We’re feeling better. I’m really grateful for this week because at least it helps us make some progress.”

We get a better idea of how much better Kentucky is doing when Friday’s injury report is released ahead of Saturday’s Matchup with Vandy. For now, it seems that everyone but Kriisa will be good at participating in what will be an air match in Nashville between two teams who want to get up in the SEC position.
