JD Vance compares Pete Hegeth’s confirmation with Ohio State’s title: ‘No matter what the result was’

Vice President JD Vance cast the undefeated vote to confirm Pete Hegeth as the next US Defense Minister late Friday and may feel a bit like Ohio State Quarterback Will Howard.

Vance, an alum from Ohio State, celebrated Hegeth’s confirmation with an anecdote referring to Hans Alma Mate’s last 34-23 national championship victory over Notre Dame.

Vance has been working on sports analogies lately.
