Bears hire Declan Doyle as offensive coordinator

The Chicago Bears Hiring Denver Broncos tight ends coach Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelisserounder new head coach Ben Johnson.

Doyle, 28, got his coaching start with Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints, serving as an offensive assistant for the Saints from 2019-22. Doyle then followed Payton to Denver, where he has served as the tight ends coach for the past two seasons (2023-24).

As for the Johnson connection, Doyle worked with current Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell in New Orleans from 2019-20. Now Doyle will work with Campbell’s most promising coordinator as Johnson steps into his head coaching role.

While Johnson calls plays and leads the charge for Caleb Williams’ development, Doyle will also play a key role in helping take Chicago’s young star to the next level.
