Tony Romo had brutal line on Dalton Kincaid’s costly drop in the Bills’ loss to the Chiefs

Dalton Kincaid had it, then it fell.

The Buffalo Bills made a late run in the AFC Championship Game, pulling the Kansas City Chiefs 32-29. They were facing fourth-and-5 at their 47-yard line with two minutes left when disaster struck.

Quarterback Josh Allen took the snap and was immediately under pressure from several Chiefs defenders. With no one open and the pressure carrying, Allen did the only thing he could and launched the ball in a flurry down the field.

The ball floated through the air and somehow eluded several Chiefs defenders and landed in Kincaid’s waiting arms as he dived back for it. But he couldn’t roll in the catch.

First, let’s admit that it would have been an incredibly difficult catch, but Kincaid probably should have come up with it.

When CBS showed the replay, Tony Romo offered the same assessment, saying, “It should have been caught.”

It’s hard on Ding Kincaid too much for that. It would have been a wildly difficult catch, but it landed in his arms.

The pass was incomplete and the Chiefs took over on downs. The Bills never saw the ball again as Kansas City gained 27 yards on seven plays to run out the clock and earn a berth in Super Bowl Lix.

Kincaid is thinking about that game for the next few months.
