Rain showers for some tonight

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – It will be cloudy and cooler today with rain returning later this evening.

Highs will be in the upper 40s this afternoon. It will be mostly cloudy, even cloudy at times today, with a slight chance of a passing shower this afternoon. However, widespread rain will begin to move in this evening. Most of the rain will be south of I-40, but some areas north of I-40 will also see some showers. There will even be a few spots on the plateau that could see a few snow showers, but no accumulation is expected. Rain should clear after early Monday morning.

Along with the rain clearing out Monday morning, clouds will also push out. Monday will be bright and sunny with highs in the upper 40s again.

Much milder air takes over mid-week. Expect highs to be in the upper 50s to low 60s beginning Tuesday and lasting through the weekend.

Our next chance for rain moves in Thursday night and sticks around and lights up most of the day Friday before moving out of the Midstate Saturday morning.
