Bob Dylan chooses surprising placements for the first 2025 tour dates

Bob Dylan is not planning to celebrate the success of biopic A complete unknown By stopping in the country’s largest cities. Instead, the living legend, 83, appears in surprising cities in Oklahoma, Kansas, Wisconsin and his home state of Minnesota to kick the 2025 tour.

The spring trip begins in Tulsa, Okla., Bob Dylan CenterOn March 25 at Tulsa Theater. Tickets are already for sale for the show at Dylan’s site.

Dylan then visits Century II Concert Hall in Wichita, can., March 29; Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato, Minn. April 4; and Weidner-Cofrin Family Hall in Green Bay, Wis., April 6th. Tickets for these shows will be sold on Friday, January 31st.

“Like a Rolling Stone” singer has been on his endless tour since 1988, playing over 3,000 shows all over the world. Since 2021 the tour has focused on songs from Dylan’s 2020 album, Rough and bully waysWith him and his band that appears almost every song from the record.

During the summer, Dylan changed things up to the Outlaw Music Festival Tour with Willie Nelson. For these shows, Dylan’s setlist dropped most of Rough and bully ways Songs in favor of songs like “All Along the Watchtower” and “Things have changed.” He also threw surprising covers by Blues Classics and Grateful Dead Songs just to keep fans on his toes.

Spring 2025 -Shows will also be Dylan’s first since the successful release of A complete unknown. Director James Mangolds Film contains Timothée Chalamet as Dylan and traces his early years in New York City, leading up to the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

A complete unknown Scored eight Oscar nominations, including best image, best actor for Chalamet, 29 and best director for Mangold. Edward Norton and Monica Barbaro were given nominations for their supporting performances such as Pete Seeger and Joan Baez respectively.

Chalamet’s performance also received praise from Dylan himself.

“There’s a movie that I’ll open soon A complete unknown (What title!), “Dylan wrote on x in December.” Timothee Chalamet plays the lead role in the lead role. Timmy is a brilliant actor, so I’m sure he will be completely credible like me. Or a younger me. Or some others me. ”

Dylan continued to advise his fans to read Elijah Walds Dylan goes electric!The book on which Mangold and Jay Cocks’ Oscar-nominated manuscript is based. “It’s a fantastic retelling of events from the early 60s that led up to the failure in Newport,” Dylan wrote. “After you’ve seen the movie read the book.”
