Crash on the double -bout sends truck into the lake

New Orleans (WVUE) – At least one driver has been rescued after a crash on Twin Span Bridge.

Both lanes on the I-10 westbound were closed on Tuesday after a two-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeled and another vehicle.

One of the vehicles crashed into the lake Pontchartrain.

Police say the driver of one of the vehicles was recovered and taken to a hospital. The driver did not report any damage.

Traffic was allowed to pass the shoulder around at. 15.00

Drivers traveling west into Orleans Parish are encouraged to consider highway 11 or other available routes to avoid delays.
