TREN DE ARAGUA -MEMBER WANTED FOR AURORA, COLO., THE SECURITY OF APPLICATION BUSTET IN NYC

A Venezuelan migrant who was arrested on Tuesday morning during an American immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) attack in New York City is a member of the violent Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang, Fox News has learned.

Sources in the Department of Homeland Security told Fox News that the suspect they identified as Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco was arrested in a bronx apartment and indicted for kidnapping, assault and burglary.

Investigators said that 25-year-old Zambrano-Pacheco is the same man caught on the camera in a video showing heavily armed men kicking down an apartment door at an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado.

Zambrano-Pacheco has since been hiding in New York City, according to authorities.

The alleged gang activity in Aurora came to national attention in August after the surveillance video became viral.

TDA is mainly based in Venezuela and has about 5,000 members between the South American country and the United States.

Others involved in the Colorado takeover of the apartment were also recently arrested in New York City, according to authorities.

ICE sent an update Later Tuesday, the Agency made 969 arrests in a single day and issued 869 Retainers.

The arrests came when security secretary Kristi Noem in the home country joined an immigration enforcement attack in New York City on Tuesday. Noem was confirmed on Saturday by the Senate to lead DHS under President Donald Trump. She made it clear during her confirmation hearing that tackling illegal immigration and border security was two of her highest priorities.

The operation marks the latest in a series of attacks throughout the United States, where officers have targeted public security threats in major cities and elsewhere.
