Stars ‘Miro Heiskan wounded in collision with Golden Knights’ Stone

One of the most important players at Dallas Stars was injured in a collision in a game Tuesday night.

The Miro Heiskan was wounded when the Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone was stumbled by the Stars Forward Roope Hintz and slipped hard into the Heiskan’s left leg midway through the third period.

The Heiskan was slow to rise and had to be helped down the tunnel to the dressing room. Stone got an outlet penalty on the play.

The Heiskan, 25, plays in all situations for the stars and leads the team in ice age with 25:16, almost three minutes more than any other teammate. He is also expected to play a significant role for Team Finland on the next 4 Nations Face-off.

The stars did not have an instant update about the state of the heiskan.
