Brendan Rodgers says Celtic’s job is “definitely not complete” despite already being sure of a Champions League-play-off place at least.

A win would give them a little chance to finish in the top eight, but they would need almost all other results to go their way.

“I think the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world,” said former Liverpool and Leicester Rodgers.

“This is where lots of top players are, lots of top executives are, but it’s not the only league in the world.

“I think there were opportunities for me to stay in the Premier League, my choice was to go to Scotland, to Celtic, and I’m so glad I did.

“OK, the competition may not be the same as what it is in the Premier League, but there are not many teams in the Premier League competing with the pressure that comes with managing a Celtic or rankers for that matter.

“It’s a great achievement to be in the top 24, I think if you look at the economy at this level.

“But for the players they have been amazing. They have worked very, very hard and do what we set out to do, which should first arrive in play-offs. So it’s great.

“But our job is not complete in this series of eight matches. We will hit a big place. It’s a fantastic team, but we’ll come and play to the level we know we can.”
