President Trump has signed settlement papers that are expected to require Meta Platforms, the parent company for Facebook and Instagram, to pay approx. $ 25 million to resolve a trial 2021 that Trump brought against the social media giant, according to sources familiar with the deal.

The trial originated from Meta’s suspension of his accounts after riot at US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The Wall Street Journal reported the settlement first.
