71-year-old man tied together and robbed with gun says police in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police say a 71-year-old man is recovering from an alleged burglary that occurred on Wednesday morning.

In a post to the Colorado Springs Police blotter reported officers who received a call for service regarding a burglary that took place around 1 p.m. 06:30

The man, who lives along the Broadway Avenue near Midland International Elementary School on the southwest side of Colorado Springs, told the officers that two people came into his home and threatened him with a gun.

The man told police that the burglars zipped their feet together and was threatened with a black semi -automatic gun. The man was physically undamaged and no other injuries were reported.

The two were described as men who were about 5’6 “-5’9”, wearing all black clothes, black masks, ski goggles with clear lentils and surgical gloves and stole several items from home.

Police believe this was a targeted or isolated incident and an investigation is in progress that has not been arrested at the time of publication of this article.
