Update: Prepare for heavy snow in northeast pa. Tuesday morning

An updated report from National Weather Service was issued on Tuesday at. 9:18 for heavy snow until 7 p.m.

“At 9:18 am, a band of heavy snow along a line that stretched from near Gibson to Pine City and moved southeast at 30 km / h,” according to Weather Service.

Locations that are affected by the alarm include Chemung, Elmira, Southport, Carbondale, Archbald, Sayre, Honesdale, Waverly, Rush and Jackson. This includes the following highway outputs: Interstate 86/Route 17 between 57 and 61. Pennsylvania Interstate 81 between 199 and 219.

The Weather Service comments, “Conditions can be worsened quickly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice -covered roads. Lower down and let extra time to reach your destination. Use extra caution if you need to travel into or through this band of heavy snow.
