High rain and snow chances trigger the first alarm action day

Tucson, Ariz. (13 news) – Rain chances here in southern Arizona will vary from 50% to 90% today. We are at the higher end of this in Tucson, but if we get some rain, we only look at about a quarter of an inch. Snow is also possible, especially in areas of or over 4,000 feet. At these higher heights, 1 to 6 inches are possible. We can also expect wind throw up to 40 miles per hour, especially in eastern Pima County. Temperatures in the Tucson area will be in the mid -50s with much of Cochise County, which doesn’t even break 50 degree brand.

We will hang on rain chances tomorrow morning with a significant warm -up on the road!
