Obrycka’s cause of death in Nashville, Tennessee, remains unknown.

On Thursday, Portnoy grieved on his death on social media and wrote ‘more sad news in the barstolf family. We suddenly lost Iga Obrycka this week. Iga basically drove our bar group for us, ‘his x post read.

‘If you ever went to Barstool Nashville, you probably saw her there. I would have hired her for every position she wanted in our company because she was so smart and driven. Just incredibly sad news and another cruel reminder not to take a minute for granted. RIP IGA. ‘

Portnoy shares Barstool Nashville’s post about Obrycka’s sudden transition on Instagram, wrote Portnoy, ‘really sad news in the Barstool family. Another cruel reminder of never taking a day for granted. Iga will be missed hard. ‘

In their tribute, Barstool Nashville Obrycka praised her management and influence on the company.

Obrycka grew up in New York City before moving to Nashville under the Covid-19 pandemic

Born in Poland, Obrycka and her family moved to the United States in the early 2000s. She grew up in New York City before moving to Nashville in 2020.

While in New York City, IgA worked for Tao Group Hospitality for almost nine years and managed their venues and events.

When he arrived in Music City, Obrycka originally worked as a reservation manager for Twelve Thirty Club before becoming their membership director during a long -standing stint.

From there, she began to do Finance for a new Ferrari dealer that opened up in Nashville. After finding out that the 9-5 lifestyle was not for her, she explored her interest in sports and pop culture.

Obrycka opened Barstool Nashville on June 23, 2023. She parlayed the new venture with her job as Chief Marketing Officer for Stanton and Bowery Hospitality.
