FDA is reminiscent of Lay’s Potato Chips – here is what you need to know

The list of revoked foods raised to class in (the highest recall level) of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to grow. This time the organization has Updated its Lay’s classic potato chips recall to class I. Potato chips were previously recalled last December due to a non -declared milk allergen.

“Today, Frito-Lay issued a revocation of a limited number of 13 oz. Bags of Lay’s classic potato chips that may contain non-declared milk after he was warned through a consumer contact. Those with an allergy or serious sensitivity to the milk crisis for a risk of a severe or life -threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product, ”read a Order Created by the FDA on December 16th.

The affected bags of chips that are no longer in store shelves were distributed to certain retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington. They have a “guaranteed fresh” date on February 11, 2025 and one of the following two production codes: 6462307xx or 6463307xx.

In the initial revocation, consumers who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk were informed not to consume the product and discard it immediately.

Several other products have been raised to class in from the FDA this month. These products include Costcos Kirkland -signature smoked salmon and Walmart’s market broccoli flowers.

Class I is the highest level of risk assigned by the FDA, which means there is a very serious risk of death. According to the organization’s WebsiteClass I is described as “a situation where there is a reasonable likelihood that the use or exposure to a violation product will cause serious negative health consequences or death.”
