Reese Witherspoon Haunted after wrongly stepping friend at the Seriad Awards Ceremony (Exclusive)

Reese Witherspoon can’t quite get over a cringe-worthy speech from her past.

In an interview with People for her new comedy You are heartfeltly invited With Will Ferrell, Oscar winner, 48, says she is “haunted” by a speech she once held for a famous actress at a prize ceremony.

“It is literally haunting me,” says Witherspoon, adding, “saw this friend of me, whom I didn’t really know so well, but she was a very serious, proper actress, she asked me to give her a prize. But I had never been to this awards ceremony, so I thought it was like a roast.

Witherspoon says the event was “British”, “elegant” and “classic” and that she got the tone completely wrong as she cracked jokes in her speech.

“I was like, ‘Remember the time we got laser hair removal?’ “She remembers. “I’m still embarrassed by it.”

Witherspoon says that the actress, whom she is not called, stopped talking to her. “We’re not friends anymore. I don’t even laugh – we’re not friends anymore, ”she says with a laugh. “I think she doesn’t like me anymore. I thought it was so funny and it was just, I had the wrong audience. It was pretty bad. Yes. Not even fun, she doesn’t talk to me anymore. Well yes. ”

Witherspoon’s memory of her embarrassing speech comes as her character Margot in the film also gives an eerie speech in her sister’s wedding and mentions spending the night with one of the red hot chili pepper.

Witherspoon and Ferrell previously worked together on a shit on Saturday Night Live In 2001. Reflective of their first impression of each other at that time, witherspoon tells people, ”(Ferrell) was the show’s great attraction. Everyone would have a shit with you. ”

Ferrell in the meantime, he thought Reese was “really talented” on the show. “I mean it’s a hard show to do, but you hid your fears really well,” he adds.
