Former TSN -Radio -Tv -spass Shawn Simpson goes away

Former TSN radio personality Shawn Simpson has died at the age of 56.

Simpson, chosen by Washington Capitals in the third round of 1986 NHL Draft, a former goalkeeper elected by Washington -a career as a director.

He served as director of hockey operations for the capitals as well as general manager of AHL’s Portland Pirates, the team’s most important affiliated company. Later he joined the Toronto Maple Leafs in the mid -2000s as a scout, and also served in a performing role in KHL before joining Ottawas TSN 1200 (then known as The Team 1200) in 2012.

Simpson was a popular radio TV station in the country’s capital, and hosted post-game shows for Ottawa Senators broadcasts.

A native from Gloucester, Ont., Simpson played junior hockey in Ohl with Soo Greyhounds and the Oshawa General.
