Rolling Stones Pay paddles Marianne Faithfull

Following the news of the death of the iconic British singer and actress Marianne Faithfull’s death, the Rolling Stones have hailed their long -time friend.

The band’s official X account published a Throwback video of a young Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who performs “As Tears Go By”, a song written by the duo and offered faithfully that released it in 1964. “For Marianne,” reads headline along with a yellow heart.

Faithfull was first discovered at a London party by the Rolling Stones Manager Andrew Loog Oldham, who introduced her to Jagger and Richards. Faithf’s reproduction of “AS Tears goes by” hit the top 10 in the UK in 1964, and also crossed to Billboard Hot 100, and peaked at No. 22. Jagger also honored individually on his Instagram page along with a black and white photo of the duo. “She was so much a part of my life for so long. She was a wonderful friend, a beautiful singer and a great actress. She will always be remembered, ”he wrote on caption his post.

Richards wrote in his your own post, “My heartfelt compassion for Marianne’s family! I am so sad and will miss her !! ”
