Tepper School Alumna Gunjan Kedia appointed first female CEO of US Bancorp – Tepper School of Business

Gunjan Kedia, Msia ’94, has been appointed the first female CEO of US Bancorpwith effect from April 15, bringing more than 30 years of financial experience to the role. This remarkable performance places Kedia among a selected group of women leading large financial institutions.

Since coming to us Bancorp in 2016, Kedia has been a driving force in the organization, most recently served as president and supervision of all lines of income. In her new role, she succeeds Andy Cecere, who has been CEO since 2017. In addition to her CEO agreement, Kedia has also been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Kedia, which exemplifies a commitment to leadership and service, maintains a strong connection to the Tepper School, which is currently serving in the Business Board of Advisors. She has also worked on several alumnipanels over the years has been one WL MELLON SERIES -SHIPSServed as an alumni speaker at Tepper School Master’s Hooding Ceremony and served as a class association volunteer.

Before he came to us Bancorp, Kedia had global executive positions in State Street Financial and BNY Mellon and leadership roles at consulting firms such as McKinsey & Company and PWC. In addition to her degree from the Tepper School, she served a bachelor’s degree with a difference in technique from Delhi School of Engineering.

Kedia has received several accolades for her results, including being named American Bankers’ most powerful women on the finance list six times and Barron’s 100 most influential women on American finance list twice. She also received Tepper School’s Alumni Achievement Award In 2018. In addition to her work with Tepper School’s Business Board of Advisors, she is currently serving on the board of PBS, Junior Achievement USA and Corstone.
