Texas Flood Warning: White Oak Creek and Sulphur River are expected to fight this weekend

Shreveport, LA – Flood warnings remain in force for parts of northeast Texas, as rising waters are expected to cause minor floods along the White Oak Creek and the Sulfur River near Talco.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, White Oak Creek is expected to exceed his 16-foot flood stage Friday night, which throws himself at 17 meters early Sunday morning. Floodwaters are expected to disappear during the flood stage on Monday afternoon. Ranchers in Titus, Morris and Franklin counties are advised to move livestock and equipment to higher soil.

The Sulphur River is already over its 20-foot flood stage and reaches 24.2 feet on Friday morning. Forecasts expect it to crest at 25 meters on Saturday morning, which affects the Red River, Morris, Franklin and Titus counties. Some secondary roads could be affected and residents should prepare for extended high water conditions.
