‘Bridgerton’, ‘One Piece’, ‘Outer Banks’ will not return until 2026

Netflix this morning revealed its 2025 -series Slate that includes the last seasons of Juggernauts Octopus games and Stranger Things and the return of Wednesday, Ginny & Georgia, Monster, Emily in Paris and The Witcher Among many others. But missing on the list are a number of popular shows including the fifth and last season of Outer banksSeason 4 of Bridergon and Lincoln -AttorneySeason 2 of A pieceAt The gentlemenAt Avatar: the last airbenderAt BeefAt Black pigeons and 3 body problem as well as season 7 of Virgin River.

Not everything is final and there may be some planning changes in the 4th quarter – for example Lincoln -Attorney S3 and Virgin River S6 was originally not on Netflix’s 2024 slate, but managed to deliver new seasons for October and December -release, while The night agent‘s second season, originally on slate in 2024, slipped to January 2025.

Still, the majority of the above series that weren’t shown at the next on Netflix will be Wednesday presentation – or the detailed Sizzle wheel that accompanied it – skip over 2025 and return with new seasons in 2026. (You can watch Netflix’s 2025 trailer below.)

Some come as no surprise. For example Bridergon Showrunner Jess Brownell has publicly said that fans would expect a two-year gap between seasons, which was the case with seasons 2 and 3 after the second season of the Regency era drama was released only one year and 3 months after the first.

Shows like Virgin River and Black pigeons Not premiering their recent seasons until December, so it’s understandable not to do slate in 2025. Still received both renewals ahead of time, which should help shorten the gap between seasons and hold it not much longer than a year.

The situation is similar to Lincoln -Attorney. While the legal drama was not officially renewed before this month, preparations had started with production in Season 4, which was set to begin in February, so Michael Connelly adaptation could potentially pull another quick turning off and squeeze into Netflix -The release plan in 2025.

Outer banks was another Q4 release, with Part 2 fell in November when Action adventure YA series was renewed in a fifth and last season. Production is intended to begin in the spring, so a release in the first half of 2026 is possible.

Fans of The gentlemenWhich has a similar Spring 2025 Season 2 -Production Start, looks at a longer wait after debut in March 2024, partly because of the creator, director and EP Guy Ritchie’s busy schedule. The series is expected to return in 2026.

A piece is believed to have just wrapped production on its second season. The post production on the adaptation of the popular manga is extensive, so between that and the time required to get a Netflix show called and subtitle, a delay until 2026 is not unreasonable. Still, it would make the gap between season 1 and 2 two and a half years or more, a not very welcome development for fans waiting for Season 2 -Premiere -Date news.

A post on Netflix’s Tudum -Site this week about a A piece-Tema Lego -Set created by claiming that the second season of the series will “arrive later in the year.” The actual A piece-Lego message does not have Season 2 release information, and Tudum Post was then edited to delete the premiere date reference.

Another live-action fantasy adventure series with a famous animated predecessor, Avatar: the last airbenderbegan filming its second season in September and is expected to remain in production through mid -2025. That would mean a probable 2-year gap between Season 1 released in February 2024 and Season 2. The good news is that the wait should not be so long for the third and last season. As it did with Octopus gamesNetflix ordered another and a third season of Avatar Together, which is translated to film the seasons back-to-back and get them in the air in a relatively close order (season 3 of Octopus games Premieres June 27, only six months after season 2.)

We haven’t heard much about another Netflix genre series that received a combination season 2 and season 3 renewal to pack his story, 3 body problem. The future for Watcher has been in serious doubt after his co-creator Ryan Murphy moved his overall agreement to Disney in 2023. The season will be made – at least not soon.

Season 2 of Beef has recently begun to record. Because the show stems from a one-time-limited series, it took longer to imagine another rate. A return of 2026 would make it about 3 years between seasons.
