Pelican’s guard has ripped Achilles, season over

New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejointe Murray tore his Achilles -sen during the Friday evening’s match against Boston CelticsAccording to several reports. The one-time All-Star’s first season with New Orleans is over.

The damage occurred during the first quarter of what was a possible 118-116 Victory of Celtics. Murray went down after pulling a rebound after his own miss. He could hardly get off the field under his own power and demanded help to get to the dressing room.

Murray had four points and five rebounds in eight minutes before leaving the damage.

Murray, an all-star in 2022, joined Pelicans via trading last July at a high price: four players, including promising third-year man Dyson Daniels and reliable veteran Larry Nance Jr., and two first round draft elections.

Murray’s season got off to an unhappy start – he broke his hand in the season opener on October 23 and did not play again until November 27. Now his campaign is over.

On average, Murray was an average of 17.9 points, 7.6 assists and 6.5 rebounds over 30 games.

The pelicans have been ravaged by injuries this season. Zion Williamson Have played only 13 games. Brandon Ingram have played in only 18 competitions. And now Murray, their big acquisition out of season, will end the year after playing 31 games.

It has helped explain the pelicans that fell down Positions. A 49-33 playoff team last season, New Orleans, is an ABYSMAL 12-37 this year after Friday’s loss.
