The king is ready to play in a feature length Amazon movie set in a royal mansion in Scotland.

The king’s son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle have signed TV and podcast offers since ending life as a working royal.

The documentary is currently being filmed in Dumfries House in Scotland and will draw inspiration from a book written by His Majesty.

Told a source The times: ‘More than any other documentary he has done before, the goal seems to be to tell the world what the king stands for and what he is about.’

The documentary is said to go into depth with the ideas put forward by the monarch 15 years ago.

A palace source said that viewers would be ‘really amazed at how these have now been implemented and added:’ This is a chance to ‘show, not tell’ how (the ideas) can transform people, places and ultimately the planet. ‘

It is understood that Amazon was only one of a series of platforms consulted about the film before the streaming giant got Royal Go-Ahead.

In an interview to promote harmony in 2010, King Charles said, then Prince of Wales: ‘I am definitely determined to be the defender of nature. Full stop.

“That’s what the rest of my life will be worried about.

“This will involve taking all kinds of dramatic steps to change the way we consider the world and act in it.”
