Nottingham Forest remains without Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ibrahim Sangare set to return

Nottingham Forest will continue to be without Callum Hudson-Odoi when facing Brighton & Hove Albion at City Ground on Saturday.

Nuno Espirito Santo says long -term absence Ibrahim Sangare in the meantime will be available for the game.

The Winger Hudson-Odoi has failed to overcome a groin problem that was maintained in the 3-2 win over Southampton, ensuring that he was sidelined for last weekend’s defeat in Bournemouth.

Forest will continue to monitor his injury in the hope that he will recover either for the trip to Exeter City in the FA Cup next Tuesday or, more likely, the Premier League game at Fulham beyond that.

“Callum is out. He will not get involved in the game. It’s a big absence for us, ”Nuno said at his press conference before the match ahead of the Brighton game. “We are still evaluating. It’s something we hope to get better but he won’t be available for this game. “

Jota got a rare start to Bournemouth in Hudson-Odoi’s absence in Bournemouth, with Anthony Elanga moved over to the left instead of his normal role to the right.

But while Nuno will again have to find a solution without Hudson-Odoi, he will have more options in the midfield, with Sangare (Hamstring) and Danilo (broken legs) have both been fully rehabilitated and now considered ready to start if if It is called.

Sangare has been training with the team for the past two weeks without any problems that have been out since September, while Danilo has already regained his first team as a replacement in the FA Cup against Luton recently.

“Ibrahim and Danilo are ready; They joined the troop, ”said Nuno, who hopes for an improvement after the 5-0 defeat on the south coast.

“We have to do much better. We need to be more solid and play better football. We were not accurate and missed a lot of passports last weekend. We have so many things to improve. We have a big challenge ahead of us because Brighton is a very good team. “
