A tough word that I got with some lucky guess today. Box – a little variation on Wordle Bots beloved crane – left me with only 52 words. Renemated this number down to just one: Rivet to the victory! Huzzah!

Competitive Wordle score

CRATE was definitely better than Crane today. I get 1 point to guess in three and 1 more to beat bot. 2 for me! Huzzah again!

How to Play Competitive Wordle

  • Guess in 1 is worth 3 points; Guess in 2 is worth 2 points; Guess in 3 is worth 1 point; Guess in 4 is worth 0 points; Guess in 5 is -1 points; Guess in 6 is -2 points and missing Wordle is -3 points.
  • If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie you get 0 points. And if you lose for your opponent you get -1 points. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily driving result or just play for a new score every day.
  • Fridays are 2xp, which means you double your points – positive or negative.
  • You can hold a running number or just play day by day. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle ethymology

The word Riveted comes from the old French Rivets (around the 14th century), which means “to squeeze or attach” which originates Riveted (noun) that refers to a small metal pin or bolt. This comes on his side probably from the old Frenchmen river Meaning “to fix, fasten, attach.” The ultimate origin is uncertain but may be related to Latin Ripa (“Bank, Land”) In the sense of securing or solving something in place.
