Here’s more from the statement we’ve just received from Philadelphia Mayor, Cherelle Parker:

“A devastating aircraft accident occurred in northeastern Philadelphia near Roosevelt Mall in Cottman and Bustleton Avenues on Friday night, January 31, 2025, about 18:10.

“A private learned 55 – a medical transport beam – departing from northeastern Philadelphia Airport with two passengers, a mother and daughter and four crew members were killed in the tragic crash.”

It adds that floating and files show that the aircraft was in the air “for only a minute before it crashed.”

“Many people on the ground – in parking lots, on streets, in cars and homes in the area – were injured,” the statement reads, but “the number of wounded has not yet been released.”

It says some were taken to Temple University Hospital’s Jeanes Campus, but there could be more in other hospitals.
