Grizzlies 132-119 Bucks (February 2nd 2025) Game Recap

Milwaukee-Jackson Jr. Scored 37 points and Memphis Grizzlies continued their recent mastery of Milwaukee with a 132-119 win over Bucks on Sunday night.

Memphis has won his last seven meetings with Bucks who Last beat Grizzlies 126-114 in Milwaukee on January 19, 2022. Grizzlies won this Without Star Guard Yes Morant who missed another straight game because of a sore right shoulder.

Jackson briefly went to the dressing room late in the first quarter after taking an unintentional elbow to the face from Ryan Rollins on Bucks Guard’s Drive attempt. Jackson returned at the start of the second period and shot 7 of 13 from 3-point reach.

Milwaukee lost for the fourth time in five games despite getting 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists from Giannis Antetokounmpo. Khris Middleton added 20 points.

Santi Aldama scored 23 points, and Desmond Bane added 22 for Grizzlies, who has won eight of nine. Zach Edey had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Scotty Pippen Jr. Had 9 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

Takeaways

Grizzlies: Memphis drew throughout the third quarter, but overworked Bucks in the last period and got big contributions from the bench from Aldama and Pippen.

Bucks: Defense remains a problem. Milwaukee has allowed at least 125 points in each of its last four losses.

Keying moment

Jackson made a pair of 3-Pointers to hood a 10-0 race that put Memphis ahead 108-103 and gave Grizzlies their first leading lead early in the fourth quarter. Milwaukee tied it on 112 on a 3-pointer of Antetokounmpo, but Aldama scored to put Memphis back too well with 6:14 back.

Key State

Memphis exceeded Milwaukee 61-36 and outscored Bucks 66-36 in the paint.
