Uk Weather Maps turns dark blue with 12 inch snow forecast | Weather | News

Snow could be as deep as 12 inches in part of the UK as weather maps show a huge ironing of the country the rug with snow.

ONE Weather Card Generated Sunday (February 2nd) shows snow as deep as 31 cm (12 inches) over part of Pennines at noon on February 16th.

While the map shows the part of the United Kingdom that sees the deepest snow, much of Britain looks out to a dust, according to WX charts.

Some 15 cm (5.9 inches) could be seen in cairngorms, 11 cm (4.3 inches) in Northumberland National Park and 16 cm (6.3 inches) north of Greater Manchester.

If the charts turn out to be accurate so far out, parts of the North Wales can also see 10 cm (3.9 inches) snow depth with areas in Lincolnshire below 6 cm (2.3 inches) snow, according to WX diagrams.

Weather maps show the mercury struggling to get a lot over freezing between now and 16 February, with the whole country in a deep freezing for days.

Minimum temperatures seem to disappear around 0C to 2C over large parts of the UK, but dip into minus numbers at times during the same period.

MET Office’s long-range forecast covering 7-16. February, suggests that high pressure will be close to the United Kingdom during this period, leading to dry conditions and light winds in the south and east. These can result in frost and fog overnight with temperatures slightly below normal.

According to National Forecaster, there is a “very low” chance that if the high positions themselves in such a way that it results in a more eastern stream, then “much cold” relationship could develop for some.

Netweather says the week that begins February 10 will see more troubled conditions and possible coals. It adds that the south will remain “virtually mild”, while colder western and northwest winds can bring snow to areas in the north and especially over high soil.

But it will probably not be snow -building weather for some, as the prediction says that a significant build -up of snow at low heights is “unlikely”.
