Charleston, w.va. Native wins big at the Grammy Awards

Los Angeles, approx. (WSAZ) – The 67. Grammy Awards take place on Sunday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Charleston-grown Sierra Ferrell won big and took four Grammy Awards home, according to Associated Press Entertainment.

Ferrell won his first grammys in these categories:

  • Americana Performance
  • Americana Roots Song
  • Americana album for “Trail of Flowers”
  • American Roots Performance

Ferrell’s dress included huge luminous sleeves, pearl decorations everywhere and a matching choke piece, AP Entertainment reported.

She did not forget her bold bride’s veil: a headpiece with pearls and flowers affected over large pearl chandelier earrings.

She also had a septer where she stabbed her acceptance speech.

“Honestly, this is a little funny,” she joked after returning to the stage for the third time. “Yikes!” She started her fourth acceptance speech.

Ferrell’s dress was designed by Jeffrey Kelly Designs.
