Pop stars, first responders, rock stars and those who have lost everything in the devastating wilea-source fire came together for firaidA massive benefit concert on Thursday that combined spectacular notions with moving storytelling from survivors and reminders of destruction.

In a night full of surprises, a reunion of Nirvana – front of St. Vincent, Kim Gordon and Joan Jett instead of the late Kurt Cobain list. They were launched in “race”, “school” and “territorial pissings”, inspired and unexpected choices respectively.

Drummer Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet, then appeared on stage for “All excuses.”
