Translinks Update of the Winter Weather Service

Translink’s Winter Weather Plan is active and extra staff are implemented to keep customers moving. All transit services are operational, but service can be slower than usual due to bad weather.

Customers are advised to incorporate extra travel time, dress appropriately for the weather and control their route by signing up Transital arms Or by calling Translink Customer information of 604,953,3333.

Here’s what customers need to know for each mode:

Skytrain

  • Skytrain runs to all stations on all three lines.
  • Trains have companions placed in front to prevent emergency braking from snowfall. This means that there will be lower frequencies than usual.
  • Expo Line Service increases as much as possible before and after tonight’s Canucks game.

Bus

  • There is a bus connection on each route, with many 60-foot articulated buses replaced to 40-foot buses.
  • Some routes in high -height areas have been detoured or changed.
  • Customers need to check their specific route for influences.
  • Translink remains in close communication with municipalities on clearing priority roads.

Handydart

  • Handydart prioritizes customers with medical appointments, work or school. Service availability may vary depending on local conditions.

Seabus

  • Seabus is running regular service.

Translink continues to prepare for more snow and adverse conditions throughout the day. Weather and road conditions change quickly and we will continue to update customers through Transital arms As conditions change.
