Cleveland Brown’s defensive end Myles Garrett has requested a trade, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. In a statement shared by Rapoport, Garrett said his desire to win a Super Bowl drove his decision to leave.

“As a kid who dreamed of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a super bowl – and this goal burns me today more than ever. My love for society in northeast ohio and the incredible fanbase of Cleveland Browns have made this one of the toughest decisions of my life.

Garrett added that he was interested in winning a championship than about becoming an NFL Hall of Famer.

“While I have loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete at the biggest phases does not allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it’s always been to compete and win a super bowl, ”he said.

Garrett, a six-time Pro Bowler and Defensive Player of the Year in 2023, comes from another excellent season with Cleveland that records 14 sacks and a career high 40 solo tackles.

Garrett has spent his entire eight-year career with Browns since he was first drafting the Texas A&M in 2017. He has registered double-digit bags in total except his rookie year.
