Myles Garrett requests trade in Cleveland Browns

Cleveland (WJW) – Myles Garrett, the starfensive end of Cleveland Browns, has requested a trade and sparkled uncertainty for the team’s future.

It’s according to Fox 8 Sports’ John Sabol.

Garrett, who has been a cornerstone of Browns’ defense, made the request despite previous insurances from Brown’s General Manager Andrew Berry. Just last week, Berry publicly declared that he had no intention of trading Garrett and said he expected Myles to retire.

Garrett said earlier he would consider leaving Browns if his vision is not with the team’s ambitions.

Garrett, 29, had a record-breaking 2024 season that surpassed 100 career series in week 16 and became the 45th player in the NFL story to achieve the milestone since 1982. He is also the first player to reach 100 career cover before his 29. birthday.

The prominent defensive player ended the 2024 season with 14 sacks and placed him number two in the NFL. His performance first marked the league story, which a player had recorded 14 or more sacks in four consecutive seasons.

Browns now face a tense situation when navigating in Garrett’s trade request, a step that could have a significant impact on the team’s defense and future. The organization has not yet commented on the request or what steps, if any, they will move forward.
