Jaguars’ legend Tony Boselli weighs in on the process to Land Liam Coen

When the then Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s offensive coordinator Liam Coen dropped out of Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coach search to take an extension to stay in Tampa Bay, there was a word to describe the reaction of them outside the building: Panic.

It was well known throughout the process that Coen was one of the leaders of Jaguars’ jobs. After Ben Johnson chose to take the bear job, Coen became the clear favorite. So when it looked like he would reject the job, there was a general feeling of displaced.

Coen, of course, turned the course and was hired as the eighth head coach of the franchise story. A week into the job he is tough to Work to put together his first coaching staff.

And while the Virvevinde 48 hours turned out to be dramatic in terms of how it played out in the media, a key member in the franchise weighed in on how the situation was actually behind the scenes.

“I don’t think there was nervousness or similar, sometimes what is seen from the outside is chaos, and what is going on is not always what happens behind the scenes,” said Jaguar’s Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Boselli at a fan event at Everbank Stadium.

Boselli is ready to take a front office role with the team and reportedly became very involved in the search for a new head coach, especially when the team passed the first phase of interviews. And to Boselli, this situation was far from the chaotic that many perceived it as.

“And I think that one thing I saw and experienced and I have seen it through my time since Shad has been the owner. Sometimes very close, sometimes at a distance. He does a good job of really that Manage the situation, “Boselli said.

“There is a reason he has been as successful as he has in life. He was very clear, very concise of how to do this and what the plan should get on was. And I really enjoyed the opportunity, the fact , that he trusted me enough to be part of this process.
