How a Myles Garrett -Handel Could Look Out for Packers

Obviously, the hot news of the day is that Cleveland Brown’s Pass-Rusher Myles Garrett has officially requested a trade to a challenger. So who did I approach? Jared Mueller, the manufacturer of Dawgs by natureOur sister website that covers Browns.

My ultimate goal? Get Jared to accept a semi-realistic deal that would land Garrett with our Green Bay Packers.

According to Athletic’s Dianna RussiniIf Browns deals with Garrett, it will be too closer to a first round pick and some changes than the first three round. It was a good starting point for Jared and me. Really, the biggest obstacle was finding out what “and some changes” mean.

I floated the defensive end Luke Van Ness, receiving Christian Watson and Cornerback Jaire Alexander, three players who could very well use a change of scenes to start. They all have talent, but their future in Green Bay is uncertain. Jared does not bite on LVN or Alexander, but he had an interest in Watson. Browns need to add cheap rookie offers to fill out their program list in 2025 after a Garrett trade, which would take a team-covering effort to absorb his dead cap.

Other players who interested Jared were backup -quarterback Malik Willis, who is under contract for one more year, and 2024 Draft Pick Marshawn Lloyd, a running back that missed most of his rookie season due to injuries. As Packers have Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks behind Josh Jacobs in the back field, I don’t leave Lloyd between me and Myles Garrett. Willis is a quality backup -quarterback that may be able to push for playing time in Cleveland, but now that Packers are out of hell, they can afford to buy a backup -forbipipereling instead of having to turn to the draft -as they previous two Aprils.

The draft election we ended up agreeing on Garrett, on top of Watson, Willis and Lloyd, was Packers’ 2026 first round pick and the team’s election from 2025 second round. I figured Green Bay would like to hold on to their first round in 2025 considering that they host the draft this season. A choice of 2026 can even earn Browns better than one in 2025 if they want to enter the Arch Manning Sweepstakes next spring.

Finally trade offerings

  • 2026 pick in the first round
  • 2025 Second Round
  • QB Malik Willis
  • Rb marshawn lloyd
  • WR Christian Watson
