Sony Pictures TelevisionSyndicated TV games are producing “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!”, Distributor CBS Studios said on Monday that it will take back the global distribution of the programs due to alleged violations of the contract from CBS.

A spokesman for CBS said the company will seek a temporary restriction order to keep the current events in place while its dispute with Sony is playing in court.

In his letter, Sony said it ended CBS’s distribution rights in August. CBS is a unit of Paramount Global.

CBS sent a letter to client -tv stations and networks on Monday and said Sony has no right to terminate the distribution agreement and that it remains the distributor of TV shows.

“Any claim from Sony that it has given rise to distribution rights is subject to ongoing litigation, and CBS will seek immediate relief from the relevant courts,” CBS said in a letter to clients and seen by Reuters.

Sony filed a lawsuit against CBS in October, claiming that the distributor had undermined the value of the long -standing shows in favor of his own interests.

The study claimed that CBS licensed the shows at market prices, both domestic and abroad, could not maximize ad revenue and gather the popular game exhibitions with its own less popular series.

The case is pending at the state’s overall court in Los Angeles.
